RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Harvard University, 2017-present

Studying the developmental and genetic basis of human skeletal development using functional genomic approaches.

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

NICHD, National Institutes of Health, 2014-2017

Developed a novel receptor-based GFP reconstitution across synaptic partner (R-GRASP) method to map neurotransmitter receptors (nicotinic acetylcholine and muscarinic acetylcholine receptor) to active synapses of visual neural circuits in Drosophila.

DOCTORAL STUDENT

Madurai Kamaraj University, 2010-2014

Discovered a novel antifungal peptide (MMGP1) from marine metagenome by function based metagenomics approaches and characterized its discrete antifungal mechanisms in Candida albicans.

PROJECT FELLOW

Madurai Kamaraj University, 2008-2010

Developed an indigenous strategies for cost effective and large scale production of pneumocandin B0 from marine fungus, Glarea Loyozensis.

STUDENT RESEARCH

The American College, 2006-2008

Developed and implemented a novel biocontrol methods to trap and kill chikungunya and dengue vectors Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus using Pseudomonas fluorescens
